America Is A Target

*Editor’s Note: This article is a part of an unused chapter from the book, The Battle For Main Street: Reclaiming America’s Heritage available for presale.

Why is America a target?

The devil hates America. He is our truest enemy, and we are definitely wrestling with dark powers when we try to start a revival save her. Think on this: the devil loves disease, poverty, hunger, thirst, enslavement, child torture, ceaseless war, and keeping people imprisoned in false religions. Because of the USA there is less of it in the world. We, as a people, are the most generous ever to walk the face of the planet.

We are great at inventing and adapting to the shifting of society. We have devised ingenious systems of agriculture, medicine, clean water, transportation and communication. God has used us as a gift of grace across the globe, bringing help, compassion, and the gospel where it has never before landed. Of course the devil wants to destroy us, look how God has used America to counter his dastardly work.

Satan has a plan for this country, make no mistake. He’d like to see us reduced to all the other third world slum-holes, where his agency holds sway. As Christians we have a duty to our homeland, we have a commission to (dare I say it?) make America great again. What makes America great is a strong church. What makes America great is moral individuals sacrificing for one another. What makes America great is all of us renewing a spirit of friendship, understanding, and loyalty to our fellow Americans. In a word, what makes America great is God’s unmerited, but much sought, favor.

Fortunately, God has given us a spirit of Power, and of Love, and of a Sound Mind! He has given us a way of escape! The tide which threatens to drown us in secularism and social isolation, can be turned by the gravity of the Father of Lights. Fear not! Our doom is not upon us yet, and it need not ever come at all. Just as Abram pursued God to the place which he would be shown, so must we follow the Lord into deeper cultural expression of the Moral Law which He showed us. We must follow him deeper into His love.

Love of God lead christian men across the mighty Atlantic, in search of a land where they could worship Him as they saw fit. Loving God knit together as one, a patchwork of 13 colonial powers. And, love of God brought us back from the terror of civil war, to once again unite us in the holy pursuit of a nation where God is our God and we are His people.

If we re-establish a godly culture, our future will be secure. The time we spend together, in this book, offers a way back to God and a strategy for renewing our Heritage as a Christian nation. First we must realize that it started with Him. Only then can we have a firm foundation on which to build a godly culture.

My goal is to tap you into a centuries old American tradition of Christian struggle against religious persecution and secular sloth. I am going to draft you into the oldest war- good versus evil. By the time we are done, you will be a full fledged initiate in a not-so-secret society called Christendom. Take up your cross, lift the horn to your lips, and let slip the dogs of war!

Therefore, I invite you to sing these words, taken from the fourth stanza of our Star Spangled Banner, whenever you hear the tune to the National Anthem, instead of the traditional first verse.

O thus be it ever when freemen shall stand

Between their lov’d home and the war’s desolation!

Blest with vict’ry and peace may the heav’n rescued land

Praise the Power that hath made and preserv’d us a nation!

Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,

And this be our motto – “In God is our trust,”

And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave

O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave.

Fourth Stanza,

The Star Spangled Banner,

Written by Francis Scott Key

It begins!
